There are a profusion of wildlife with many game species – Buffalo, Sable, Giraffe, Zebra, Eland, Kudu, Blue Wildebeest, Oryx, Nyala, Impala, Waterbuck, Red Hartebeest, Steen buck, Warthog, and occasional sightings of Leopard, Cheetah and Brown Hyena. More than 70 species of trees can be found amongst them Camel thorn, Lead tree, Marula and Shepherds tree. The bushveld is renowned for its bird life and bird lovers and photographers can feast on Martial eagle, several owl species and other big birds of prey as well as the colorful rollers, hornbills, bee-eaters and all the others which make the bushveld a bird watcher’s paradise. Well - equipped hides sunken in the ground as well as on stilts ensure hunting, watching and photography is done in comfort.

Kunkuru Farm consists of 1700ha of pristine bushveld. Open savannah dotted with tree islands, dense thickets, and riverine areas makes this ideal habitat for bow hunting. Mainly plains game endemic to the area are hunted at Kunkuru. These include but are not limited to Kudu, Nyala, Wildebeast, Zebra, Impala, Duiker, Steenbuck, Warthog, Red Hartebeest, Eland and Gemsbuck. Giraffe and dangerous game can be hunted by prior arrangement. Kunkuru has 10 strategically positioned blinds (tree, elevated & pit) “Walk-In” blinds are erected for special hunts.
The farm together is just over 900 hectares with more than 5000 hectares under concession in less than 15 minutes drive from the main lodge. Sekgweng is known for the quality of the game that populates our hunting areas as well as the thrill of a true hunting trip. Our main lodge can easily accommodate more than 22 guests ideal for family and corporate hunting groups. 7 -on-suite chalets or rondavels, complete with an authentic ambience that will give you the complete African experience. We offer accommodation on a full board basis as well as self-catering facilities with 2x fully equipped kitchens. Separate boma braai, fireplace and indoor braai for the bad weather days. Further, the main lodge has a swimming pool area, bar and satellite TV. Included in daily rates for hunters is PH, hunting vehicle, slaughter/cooling room facilities, ice and firewood.

(sleep 2) The rooms has no on-suite bathrooms. 2 Bathrooms next to each other, to share. Consist of a shower, toilet and basin. The bos kamp has its own living area with a bar. Kitchen and braai area. Mountain Camp: 2 rooms with 4 single beds each. (sleep 4) 2 rooms with 1 double bed and 2 single beds. (sleep 3/4) 1 Bathroom to share. Consist of a shower, toilet and basin. The Mountain camp has its own kitchen and braai area. There is also a deck where you can have a scenery of the whole farm. Electricity is optional. At the main camp is: A community lapa with the started room, cold storage, fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, living area with air conditioning, DSTV, bar and pool table.
